Tubb's Hill in Coeur d'Alene is a little slice of green right on the doorstep of downtown. Tubb's is easy to find (it's the big hill with trees on it in downtown Coeur d'Alene). The trail head is easily accessible, too. Once you're on the trail, you have the choice of ascending the top or walking along Coeur d'Alene Lake. Both hikes are equally as impressive. There is also a trail head on the Sander's Beach side of Tubb's Hill.
If you happen to hike the hill during the summer month's, make sure and where something that supports jumping into Coeur d'Alene Lake, which becomes pretty inviting when it's 90 degrees and you're hiking.
